Montauk, NY
Montauk, NY. The end of the island. There you are in the fierce North Atlantic. There is nowhere else to go. These photos were talking the last time the Mets were in the World Series. The air was exceptionally warm that day. A coat was needed, but when the sun came out and warmed the sand you could walk barefoot and not be cold. The water was calm. The beach at Montauk is shallow for over 100 yards. You have to walk very far for the water to get deep and because of this the surf is normally loaded with waves constantly breaking. Not this day. This day was the water broke on the shore. There were no families, no beach chairs, and no surfers. It was just a quite day to stand on the edge of America and stare into the infinite. Not a bad place to be.
